Time Sheet was an interactive prototype and lightning talk for software engineers on the impact of UX design. I prototyped a timesheet entry browser plugin as an alternative to Oracle, an enterprise notorious for its unfriendly UI and workflows. The talk and interactive prototype examined the use of UX research and design to mitigate common user frustrations often ignored by enterprise applications.

I created svg badge icons for the days of the week. Using badges reflects the social reward system we tie to stickers and badges. Completing hours for the day activates a completed badge and evokes a sense of accomplishment.

Putting the spreadsheet where the user most often works improves task follow-through. User-friendly language mitigates unconscious hostility often associated with error messages and task reminders.
